Climate Change Endangers the Philippines
The Philippines is a center for climate change. It is vulnerable to monstrous typhoons, deadly earthquakes, and other natural phenomenon caused by global warming. These disasters kill thousands of Filipinos, and cause billions of Pesos in damages to infrastructure and properties each year.
We need to change. There are many climate solutions available to us, but many of us lack the funds and information to invest in these products and technologies already being used by other countries.
Fortunately, Philippine businesses are in a unique position to invest in sustainable solutions that can help the environment and increase profits simultaneously. Businesses can also serve as examples for individuals, organizations, and other businesses to emulate.
Introducing Green Philippines
Green Philippines is the country’s biggest annual display of environment-friendly products and technologies. It is the convention of choice for businesses that manufacture, sell, and purchase sustainable solutions.
To date, more than 21,438 visitors have visited the show, with 19,508 of them making purchasing decisions. Among these visitors, 1,508 are managers. More than 25 million Pesos worth of sales deals have been closed on-site since the beginning of this show.
The Green Philippines show features three sections yearly: Green Living & Lifestyle(environmental products and services for everyday living), Green Manufacturing (green technologies to reduce the carbon footprint of various manufacturing processes), and Enviro-tech Philippines (focusing on environmental management technologies, as well as those related to air, energy, water and waste control).
The show is also held simultaneously with Green Construct (sustainable building and construction technologies) and Green Energy (renewable energy technologies, services, and business opportunities).
There will also be pavilions including the Green Transportation Pavilion and the Eco-Tourism Pavilion, as well as a Greenovation Forum.
