Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are you affiliated with any environmental organizations?
Yup. I donate monthly to WWF-Philippines. I'm also a member of the Greenpeace Bloggers Facebook Page, although I'm not a member of the organization itself.
My connection to these groups, especially via Facebook news feeds, allows me to get up-to-date information on their activities and concerns. This is why I constantly write about these in my blog.
2. Are you affiliated with any of the businesses and organizations you write about?
Mostly not. I am not affiliated with most of the businesses and organizations I write about.
I get my information from pretty much everywhere: newspapers, magazines, friends, co-workers, personal experiences, Facebook news feeds, and so on.
Some information is directly sent to me at environmentphilippines@gmail.com as well.
There are some companies and organizations I am affiliated with, but majority of them don't ask me to write about their environmental CSR projects or products.
It's just that I know about the projects. Any information I think will interest my readers, I feel free to publish in my blog.
3. Do you earn money from what you write in your blog?
I would love to earn money directly from what I write, but the truth is I don't. I have never been paid to write about any topic, individual, company, or organization since I started Environment Philippines.
I have advertisements on my blog, which I do earn a bit of money from. However, this is just a bonus. Earning money is not the main goal of my blog.
An additional note about the ads, I have no control over what ads appear on my blog. So if you see something you don't like - like an ad for a mining firm in a 'No to Mining' article - there's really nothing I can do about it.
